The Turkish President announced new measures to combat the spread of coronavirus

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan appealed Friday to the nation and announced new measures to combat the spread of coronavirus in the country:
  • Since midnight, 15 days will be denied entry and exit of vehicles in 30 cities and province of Zonguldak, where widespread lung disease.
  • Curfews for persons under the age of 20.
  • Residents are required to wear protective masks in crowded places, including in supermarkets, markets and workplaces.

    Erdogan reminded of the need to comply with social distance, however now the authorities have introduced fines for those who will not adhere to the necessary rules.

    The new coronavirus was first identified in Turkey on March 10, a local resident, who returned from Europe. The total number of infected reached 20 921, died 425, 484 recovered.
