Currently circulating in the world several varieties of coronavirus COVID-19, head of the laboratory of bionanotechnology, Microbiology and Virology of the Novosibirsk state University (NSU) Sergey Netesov.

"Now we know that now circulates several varieties of" he said, citing data from Chinese scientists.
Netesov said that China and the Republic of Korea thanks in these countries managed to reduce morbidity. "In China almost recovered all who were ill in February," he said.
In particular, Italy has got a type of coronavirus that is spreading faster.

"If a vaccine is developed, it will be suitable for a single (fast) and the other (slow moving) version. Treatment and vaccination is not affected," said Netesov.
As for other countries, particularly in Europe, the spread of the infection continues, the situation is "far from complete".
The researcher noted that the development of vaccines is hampered by the fact that to date there is no animal model on which to test it: not picked up a single animal, which disease would proceed in the same way as in humans.
With regard to the test systems, said Netesov, the only state research center "Vector" (the only Russian producer currently diagnosticums for coronavirus) has already released about 1 million test systems for their development and undertake a commercial company. But this still may not be enough.

The Deputy Chairman of the Siberian branch of RAS Michael, the Governor told reporters that at the request of the Chinese colleagues of the Siberian scientists presented their development - from new types of protective masks to the test systems of new generation, non-classical vaccines, etc. Cooperation in this area continues.
